We are a proudly Canadian owned company founded in 2001, specializing in forensics software development & training, digital investigations and advisory services. Since we come from law enforcement, we know precisely what challenges you are facing. We know what it's like to search computers and hard drives with one tool, mobile devices with another tool, and cloud mail with another. We love X-Ways Forensics (XWF) just like you do. We also know that if you had the choice, you would conduct most, if not all, of your examinations using only XWF. Our goal is to make your life easier by enhancing X-Ways Forensics' functionality and giving you ways to rely less on other tools.

Our mission is to make your job easier with better results. Our objective is to save you time and costs associated with having to rely on 3rd party tools.

    How we license
    our software

    Use of ExponentTM is managed via a non-perpetual, annual renewable file-based license subscription.

    Each license includes access to ALL X-Tensions available in the library, including updates and any NEW X-Tensions that are released within the subscription period.

    Each subscription (license) is linked to a specific X-Ways Forensics (XWF) dongle or BYOD/copy protection device, via the device's nLicID. The nLicID can be determined via the About window in XWF.

    NETWORK DONGLES:
    ExponentTM can be licensed for multiple computers where a single XWF network dongle is in use, provided that there is an equivalent number of licenses of Exponent purchased.

    Please note that if a subscription is allowed to expire, then the software no longer functions.

    Subscriptions can be configured to coincide with renewal dates of other forensic tools in your lab. Ask us for details.
